OptogamaThe achromatic waveplate is composed of a birefringent quartz plate and magnesium fluoride. By aligning the fast axis of the former with the slow axis of the latter, the relative phase difference between the two axes is λ/4Or λ/2The combination of quartz crystal and magnesium fluoride can reduce the influence of wavelength on phase delay, allowing zero order achromatic waveplates to obtain approximately flat spectral response within the working wavelength range.
